Well-made, smooth and sturdy box with velvet-lined compartments and a sliding lid.
This is a sturdy, solid wood, black box with velvet-lined compartments and a sliding lid. It is marketed as a tarot card box, but you could use it for nearly any card game or even a jewelry box. The sliding lid is a little challenging to slide open since it does not have a handle or anything to grip, but you will figure it out. The underside of the lid has grooves on either side do you can display upright cards, and it has three velvet circles that are about 1/4 inch deep. There is one larger compartment that measures roughly 5 inches by 6 inches and is 2 inches deep. The 4 smaller compartments are 2 1/2 inches by 2 7/8 inches and are also 2 inches deep. Getting the lid off is the only challenge! I plan to leave my lid open a little so I can slide it off easily. This would be a nice gift for anyone who loves to read tarot cards, or for anyone who wants to keep their playings cards and dice together.

Beautiful, unadorned, and sleek
I got this as a little “treat” for myself. I enjoy reading cards for myself and sometimes for friends. This box gives me a special place to keep my current favorite deck and some nice crystals or stones. It feels like a special ritual to open it, choose the crystals of the day to place on the velvety circles, and then pull some cards.
The box is black with no logo or fancy design which I love. I like witchy, but am not wiccan, so having the box unmarked is beautiful and energetically clean.
I was a bit confused at first. The top, flipped so the velvet circles are down, closes so tightly that it was tricky to open it. Once I flipped the top it’s much easier. It’s almost like it's a secret box that way.
The wood is heavy and well painted a deep rich black. The inside has velvet fabric on the surfaces to make them soft to protect the box from the crystals, as well as to keep the crystals from being harmed. Velvet always makes a box feel precious.
I’m very happy with the size of the box. It holds a few of the larger stones, and should fit almost any deck of cards. Some decks are fairly large or oddly shaped too, and the card side is a quite large.
This is very nice altar box, and would make a sweet gift to any card reader. I’m going to use it a daily to do my card readings.

Everything You Need To Share Card Readings With Others! It
What a Delightful Surprise! I wish I had a great box like this when I was doing card readings at local events! You can put everything you need (except snacks) in this box. Go to your event, put up your sign/banner, open this box, and with a few minor tweaks, you are good to go!
The box is a good size, as you can see, you can set it up to face your client/person you're doing the reading for. There is a slot along the edge that securely holds the cards while you do your thing. They can see the cards easily, without having to crane their neck or grab the cards! Plus, you can point out details on the card without blocking their view.
As you can see, there are three circular insets for you to put crystals, candles (see how that works for you), herbs, whatever you wish to add to the ambience and aesthetic of the reading. This is just a fabulous idea!
The price is great for an item of this quality! It is almost like getting a storefront for this low price. Best of luck to you sharing your talents! This box will be great for helping organize your card readings!

I am in love with this! It's a perfect size as well. Holds my deck and my crystals. Incredibly sturdy and put together very well. The lid is easy to pull out and push back in. True to picture.

Beautiful Tarot Box
This lovely black wood box is beautiful. The lid is designed to slide into place and can be used two ways. One side has slots for holding tarot cards or crystals in the round indentations, while the other side is solid wood for displaying items on top. Assembly is simple, just slide the top in smoothly and it’s ready to use.
Inside, there are several compartments that are perfect for organizing crystals, a tarot deck, a tarot cloth, and other small treasures. The soft felt lining helps protect everything from damage, which is a thoughtful addition. The craftsmanship is excellent, and for the quality, it’s a great price. It is a wonderful addition for keeping my tarot tools neatly stored and beautifully presented.

It’s perfect!
This is great! It’s very well made and easy to open (or flip lid sides for use). It has just the right-sized compartments for a full-sized Tarot or Oracle deck, and other items you may use in your readings. And actually, out of their box (which I never use anyway), I can fit 2 full-sized Tarot decks in the largest compartment. I’m very pleased with this box!
