Vinyl Record Wall Shelves

A record shelf is a small wooden ledge that holds one album facing out. Hang a row of them and the wall becomes a rotating display: the record you’re playing goes up, and last week’s goes back in the crate.

Things to compare

  • Pack size. 6, 8 and 12-packs, so you can do a single row or a full grid.
  • Mounting. Some shelves screw into the wall, and the no-drill versions use adhesive, which renters will appreciate. Screws are the safer choice for heavy double LPs or a textured wall.
  • Showing the vinyl as well. The dual display shelf has metal hooks on the front for the disc and a slot behind it for the sleeve, so you see both.
  • Depth. The shelves are 2 to 3 inches deep. The deeper ones hold gatefolds more securely.

All are solid wood in black, walnut or weathered white, and they work for CDs, small frames and postcards too.
